Major refurbishment works to school including:-
The refurbishment of the existing Lower School Building (including the demolition of some redundant boiler house, prefab class rooms, tennis courts) with the new building of a two storey reception, entrance lobby, library reception class rooms and the creation of a new glulam and curtain walling circulation staircase encasing a new lift serving the three floors of the building.
The refurbishment works included the complete replacement of all the windows, new sections of roof, new boilet room, power, water and gas income supplies and new MEP with the existing fire, security, IT and security systems linking back to the main building.
The removed tennis courts made way for the new parking and vehicular circulation spaces for the site, including the coach park and student transition areas.
The main building, kitchen servery was extended with extensive structural openings formed in the ground floor area and the reorganisation of the drainage, domestic, and power arrangements, pot wash, hot prep and cold prep areas with in the existing footprint of the kitchen / seating area.
There were other ancillary works carried out at the same time with the sites power being rearranged, pedestrian circulation and services being installed.
The original access route and existing car parking and circulation areas to the adjacent Sports Centre (used by the school) with drainage, streetlighting, landscaping and interconnecting services being rearranged to suit the new school to sports area communication lines.
