Saint Christina’s School
The Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
The works entailed the construction of a 3rd floor roof extension and related alterations. The new roof is of metal construction and has inset skylights. The works were carried out to a superior level and included a lot of integrated high quality joinery.
The new extension has a central corridor providing access on one side to two Music Teaching Rooms which are separated by a folding wall with Music Practice rooms along the other side.
The new space includes WCs with all associated services. Underfloor heating was fitted and the new Practice rooms are enclosed by glazed screens to maximise on natural light.
In addition to the new staircase a disabled lift was also installed.
The school is located next door to a convent and chapel making noise control a priority.
