External Refurbishment of Grade II Listed Building
Cuffe has recently completed the external refurbishment and restoration of the major elevations of this landmark Grade II Listed building in Kensington High Street, London W8.
The works comprised:
- Erection of scaffolding, gantry and hoist.
- Stonework cleaning and restoration repairs.
- Refurbishment and restoration of windows and external doors, including high quality spray painting and renewal of mastic pointing.
- Roof repairs.
- The fully sheeted scaffolding was carefully designed and planned to serve all areas of the elevations and was based on a structure spanning over the canopy.
An external hoist was erected on a gantry at the far end Derry Street, from where all materials were raised and distributed. The works were carried out on an elevation by elevation basis, working top down and in a phased sequence commencing with the Young Street elevation and progressing to Kensington High Street and finally Derry Street.
