The project generally comprised demolition of the existing redundant CSSD department and store rooms; construction of a new operating Theatre 6 with Ultra Clean Ventilation; and full refurbishment and upgrade of Theatres 1 and 3.

The works included full asbestos surveys and removal of asbestos; enabling works to surrounding areas for the project works to be undertaken and validation of existing roof plant; strip-out & demolition; construction of new studwork partitions, lead lining, doorsets, IPS, ceiling and floor finishes, hygienic wall cladding, fitted furniture, sanitaryware and re-decoration.

The M&E works included installation of new chillers & air handling units, complete mechanical & electrical installation including IPS/UPS back-up, and new medical gases services.
